Matt Laczko is an North Carolina-based photographer that specializes in sports and documentary projects. 

Matt was born in Hollywood, Florida and spent his childhood living in South Florida where he fell in love with athletics from an early age playing a multitude of sports from soccer to roller hockey.

Prior to 2008, Matt and his family left South Florida for Hickory Flat, Georgia where Matt was inundated with a wholly different culture from Friday Night Lights being an equal to Sunday Mass and the mixing of country and city meeting at the crossroads of what is considered the edge of northern Metro Atlanta. In 2025, Matt moved to North Carolina to continue his work with highlighting the inequality found throughout the southeast, the social movements being formed and growing out of the South, and the incredibly diverse communities that drive his continued documentary photography projects.

Matt's work ethic and seeing things from a different point of view than his peers has been a key to translating into how he captures the essence of people from celebrities to local merchants. His award-winning photography takes it's cue from his ability to showcase the humanity in each and every person he meets.
